Remember those silhouettes cut from black paper? 2 minutes of flashing scissors and a profile emerged in black on white. Barely a tick on the clock and some unwanted scraps discarded and the outlines of a moment remained, preserved forever. Well the idea for Sketches From Sky Ridge came out of a suggestion that we should stop once in a while and carve out our own little silhouette from the daily wonder (and woes) we experience as the proprietors – and residents – of The Retreat at Sky Ridge.
Now doesn’t everyone (yes, we’re talking to YOU) like to peek into someone else’s diary? Trace the lines and fill in the color and the details from just a few words laid down in black on white? Sketches From Sky Ridge is your chance to sneak over, pull our journal from it’s hiding place and flip thru a few pages. Go ahead, we won’t snitch…..super duper swear we’ll never tell.
From 3 unique perspectives, from 3 diverse viewpoints on the corner of the Ozarks we call “The Retreat” – Sketches is perpetually a work-in-progress. Scenes cut from our days – sometimes perfect and wondrous, sometimes with rough edges and worn spots with the unwanted, unsightly scraps still very much attached. We also call it “Life” – and we’re living it right now —- and we are sharing, sketching it out here — as it happens.
We’ll leave it for you to discover – and perhaps you will want to leave a note of your own, a few words tucked into the pages between yesterday and tomorrow.
